What Is The 8% Summit?
The first annual 8% Summit was an event for Speech pathologists and Audiologists of color to make connections with other speech pathologists and audiologists of color, to collaborate on ideas and topics relevant to us, and to care for ourselves and each other.
Each ticket granted admission to the 8% Summit 's presenters and discussion, a swag bag of goodies, raffles and giveaways, breakfast and refreshments, access to potential “friendleagues” (friends + colleagues), and a safe space to let your hair down.
The first 8% Summit was August 27, 2022 in Charlotte NC.

Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of attending the inaugural 8% Summit for SLPs and Audiologists of Color, and it was nothing short of amazing! The information provided by the amazing panel ranged from the workplace to personal endeavors and finding one’s passion within the field. The networking opportunities were far reaching and I know the connections we made will be long lasting. There were truly takeaways for everyone in attendance-can’t wait for next year!
